Zig Zag Foot
The wide oval opening on this foot allows the needle to swing from left to right to make a zig zag stitch or most any stitch of width.
Look under the foot on the seam plate and you'll see there is a matching oval opening in the seam plate.
The zig zag foot can also be used to stitch a straight stitch, making it the most versatile foot you use on the machine.
