While walking along the sixth floor balcony of our hostel in the red light district of Amsterdam, I noticed this abandoned home. You really don’t see any abandonments in downtown Amsterdam and this was sort of eerie how this house was in the middle of a strip of beautiful homes. I wish I could get inside but that last thing I needed to worry about was getting caught by Police in the middle of my vacation!

The RAW files for this shot have been chilling out on my hard drive for 4 months and I've constantly fought with a coherent idea that resulted in many copies being thrown in the trash. Some days you're just more creative than others!

Oh See, I would've gone in. I've not seen an open door (or window) on an abandoned property that I wouldn't go in. Now I'm really curious what's inside. Oh well. Happy New Year my friend!

Fantastic shot with perfect treatment to it. I love the vintage feel to this one. I really like how its framed with the chipping paint. You made it look as though you couldnt almost step right into the photo onto that old wood floor. Sparks the interest thats for sure!
