My favorite photograph - Guy Bourdin
This photograph is the image I chose for the favorite photograph task. The image was taken by Guy Bourdin and is typical of his work, being controversial and sexual. The contrastic colours of both the clothing and of the carpet make the image appear garish, yet strangely appealing. An image of John Travolta between the models legs, along with the stockings on show point towards a sexual element of the photograph, and the models uncomfortable stance are traditional Bourdin techniques.

lol we only see what we want too... you think it's "hate", some people think it's a male perspective of sexuality, some people think it's art. for christ sakes it's a fashion photograph.

Yeah, male perspective of objectifying women. Maybe not "hate" but definitely an objectification. But then again isn't that what fashion photography is all about anyway? :-)
