Bernard Allison was introduced to the roots of black music and playing electric guitar by his father, the blues legend Luther Allison.
He joined the tourband of Luther Allison in 1989 after a furious collaboration of 'Father & Son' at the '89 Chicago Blues Festival. Bernard released his first solo album in 1990 and the title was program: 'The Next Generation'. He started touring with his own group all over Europe and released several albums, taking the tradition of black music he grew up with into the new century melting the influences into his own brand - BERNARD ALLISON.

"It's just a big pleasure for me to continue my father's legacy, but you know I don't go out and try to be Luther Allison. I just go and do what I've learned from my Dad and the likes of Koko Taylor, or Stevie Ray Vaughan or Albert King. So, I'm trying to keep the blues alive Bernard Allison style." -- Bernard Allison

St. Pauli Blues Urgesteine im REX-Musiktheater Lorsch
Hamburg Blues Band meets CLEM CLEMPSON & ARTHUR BROWN,

30 Jahre steht die Hamburg Blues Band jetzt auf der Bühne, aber von Müdigkeit keine Spur. Ganz im Gegenteil, die Blues-Rock-Dinosaurier von der Waterkant mit ihren Gästen CLEM CLEMPSON & ARTHUR BROWN verwandelt das ausverkaufte, ehrwürdige Kino in Lorsch in einen Hexenkessel.

Auf der Bühne steht eine hochkarätige Formation und nimmt seine Zuhörer auf eine Zeitreise über 3 Jahrzehnte Musikgeschichte. Sie eröffnen das Konzert mit „Rockin´ chair“, und setzen es fort mit „Make my day“ , „Flood“, Into the night“ und Stony Times“ um nur einige Titel zu nennen. Die Jungs haben nichts verlernt und mit der zuverlässigen Hamburg Blues Band im Hintergrund zeigen die Frontmänner ihre genialen Gitarren-Riffs und Soli unterstützt von formidablen Keyboard-Eskapaden.

Die Hamburg Blues Band gehört ohne Zweifel zum Besten, was die europäische Blues-Szene heute zu bieten hat. Die Hamburg Blues Band steht für intensiven, clever arrangierten und live umwerfenden Roots-Blues, der selbst Puristen ins mentale Wanken bringt.

Das erste Set dient dazu, das REX Musiktheater kräftig einzuheizen und auf das Kommende einzuschwören. Denn erst nach der Pause erscheint der Special-Guest „The god of hellfire„ Arthur Brown mit einen Schleier über dem Gesicht und eröffnet es mit dem Song „A Hard Rain´s A Gonna Fall“. Als der Schleier fällt ist das Publikum nicht mehr zu bremsen. Der Höhepunkt ist natürlich „Fire“, ein Song den jeder kennt. Die charismatische Figur „Arthur Brown“ versteht es wie kein Zweiter, seine Mitmusiker und sein Publikum zu begeistern.
