      if you're interested in dutch products you should also try speculaas (or speculoos in Belgium) with tea - yum!
      and hopjes too!

      ok those are the sweet treats i enjoyed the most as a child.

      so funny, if i buy a package of stroopwafels, i eat them....*ALL*....at once. !! so yes, i have to stay away. (which is easier now hehehe) my brother lived in amsterdam for a while and mmmm you should also try the oliebollen! he was obsessed with those little things. (though i prefer the stroopwafels, what *is* it with thin food? thin crust pizza, thin sliced veggies, thinly sliced tastes better.)

      can i say...that...i - am - so - HAPPY - that - you - posted this!!!!!!!!

      my aunt brught these back for me from her trip to amsterdam...wrapped in the most beautiful dutch tin container. i ate them all (in one sitting without sharing with my husband, mind you)....never knew the name of them. had dreams of them....figured my life would never be complete again with out them....and here they are!!

      goodness, i didn't know that stroopwafels were so popular abroad even. i have to stay away from them as well, but there everywhere here. in supermarkets, at kioks, railway station at markets...*sigh*
