   our wonderful men are both sporting winter beards and mama knit gray hats of similar design!

   eta: I just read the blog and got quite a chuckle. Lee has been waiting for his hand knit hat since 2005! yes...that's right...I have the notes to prove it. In 2005 I knit him a hat...something was a little "off" in the sizing (it was ENORMOUS) so I ripped it out and started again.

   Now I am pretty sure I finished the second attempt but we cannot find the actual hat. And it too was a little on the large side but I was too discouraged to make a third attempt right away...fast forward past 2nd baby, moving, a knitting hiatus and life in general I have finally completed a hat we are both mostly satisfied with (after much surfing Ravelry) :-)
