    Beautiful color choice! I'm new to knitting, what kind of stitches are those? Probably a silly question but I love the bulkiness of the stitches, is the bulkiness due to the needle size? Right now I'm just playing around and learning a little along the way but I want my first project to be a scarf, which needle size is best for scarfs? I started off with size 8, but the stitches seem too tight for a scarf.
