I wish everyone here in Canada had shown half the interest in our election a few weeks ago, as they're showing in the sexier, more interesting American election. We had a really poor voter turnout and election outcome :-P Though I have to admit, I too am super-interested to see who wins over there... It's a long time coming!

It's incredible how much people around the world are waiting. I now I'll go to bed way too late tonight - the first results are expected at 11 pm in Portugal.

We had no line at my location in SF Bay Area, CA. My 6 yr. old, home from school with a cold, was so excited that this day is finally here! He came with me and chanted (quietly) O-ba-ma. Made me laugh.

      YES !

Congratulations - the USA just thought: "We don't need another hero" (Tina Turner), not a fighter, but a negotiator.
The USA just went colourblind - "Free your mind and the rest will follow" . . (En Vouge)

      "Come writers and critics
      Who prophesize with your pen
      And keep your eyes wide
      The chance won't come again
      And don't speak too soon
For the wheel's still in spin
      And there's no tellin' who
      That it's namin'.
      For the loser now
      Will be later to win
For the times they are a-changin'."
