   With me being a newbie knitter, trying to learn my yarns, is that sock yarn you are using for your hat(?) I love that cable pattern.

   it is - it's a sock yarn, and it will someday be a sleep sack for baby. The cable pattern is a 'mock' cable that's super easy - I've never actually attempted *real* cables. ;)

   Amanda - I gotta know ... how did you get a "The Store at Ampersands" Mug? Gift? Or did you travel up to Orono for it?

   This Handmade Life - I worked there in college! Now that I say so, I'm actually quite shocked that the mug is still kicking around after 10 years. ;)

    Amanda - We hang out at "The Store" all the time. Just spent my Bday morning there. Its a ritual. I wonder if I saw you there 10 years ago? Hmmm.... Well done in keeping that mug intact all these years :)
