obama mama

    Indeed.

Meet my uniform for the next 6 weeks.

Calvin was born three days before the 2001 inauguration of GWB. I cried and cried watching it in disbelief (couldn't have been the hormones at all!). I'm hoping for a different scene for the next little one. Born in the month of an election of change.

I hope. And I shout sometimes too.

(Shirt from MamaZine, with all proceeds going to Obama for America. Thanks to camera shy momma for the tip!)

I have an Obama Mama shirt, too. I used a slightly different design. I've been selling them on Cafe Press, and I'm giving my profits to the campaign. It's doing pretty well so far!

I'm of the belief that if voting really changed anything they'd make it illegal. The only real change in the world is on the work of the soul. Politicians everywhere stink. So there.

      clever how that rhymes !

      *sigh*
you guys are too good..one wishes everyone would see life so clearly as you guys do <3

Whatever the outcome, you know from experience that putting your joy and love and values out in the world makes a difference in many people's lives every day; that the "small things" matter enormously. It's probably going to be a squeaker again, so it seems like a good thing to keep in mind. My best pal is an Obama Mama - in labor as I type - !!

You're so gorgeous. And I love that shirt, too. I'm heading over there to buy one. (Not that we haven't been giving $ to the campaign already- sometimes on a weekly basis- but that shirt is so great.)

We actually got to hear him speak at the DNC wisdomofthemoon.blogspot.com/2008/08/yes-we-w ent.html .

My sister went out canvassing last week and said it was fantastic. She said there's a lot of undecided people out there. And the campaign's advice was to just speak from your heart. I'll be giving it a shot too. Yay for finally living in a swing state.

PS: I love the little peek of floral t-shirt (or whatever) peeking out. I'm about 18 weeks now and should maybe be thinking about adding a bottom layer under my regular t-shirts. Not quite yet, but probably soon.
