   I share the same love of knitting for babies and this particular pattern.

   I love knowing the pattern by heart... it's like having a favorite dish to make. The book didn't come out until my children were older, but I have made countless pairs and have always gotten great feedback about how they stay on.

   Sometimes I stray and try out other patterns but I always come back to this one. Besides it's fun to have a "signature gift".

   yes, yes - just like a favorite dish!

   The book came out the year after Calvin was born, so both Ezra and Adelaide each had a pair of these, and they most definitely DO stay on so well. It really is the best bootie pattern, I think. I've seen some of your beauties too. ;)

   this is just beautiful. i am expecting baby #2 & would love to make some booties like this. where can i find a pattern? i am having a hard time finding a good one with ties on them like that.
