these are adorable - thank you for taking me
out of my "perfect little dolls I will
make" into "just right dolls made
by us" mode. Off to find some little
people and ribbons and buttons and glue...
bird nest photos - yes! that's always how I
start out too - with one picture of how *I*
want them to look...and it's usually only
about five minutes in before I see that
something entirely different is taking place.
And it's always better. ;)
Oh, Amanda, my sister and I used to spend
HOURS creating clothes pin doll much the same
way!!! And then proceed to do elaborate
ballets or other plays with them like
marrionettes, all suited up....thank you for
the walk down Memory Lane:) <3
bird nest photos - these are painted with
acrylic paints. I think water color and milk
paint would likely just wash away. If I were
making these for very little ones - and they
were apt to go in the mouth often - I would
leave the paint off entirely.

so where did we end up with paint? did you use tempura on these? would water colors work? I guess those would just wash away if wet?

Gaelan loves to make these too. And lots of pipe cleaner people and animals - instant crafting satisfaction.
