Absolutely stunning. The dropping nose, the
cockpit interior, the metallic silver details
on the landing gear and the beautiful tail
decorations... wow, simply brilliant all
around!
Indeed a shame these slender sausages have
been withdrawn from service.
The MOC is 214 studs long, 1.71m, 5ft 7in.
It is in 1:36 scale, which is actually too
big for minifigs (minifig scale generally
being accpeted as somewhere between 1:40 and
1:45). I made it this scale so that it would
be the same scale as my other aircraft and
hose of Mad Physicist (Ralph): www.flickr.com/photos/madphysicist/
No, it's scratch built, Lego don't do
instructions or sets for anything quite that
large, although the size of their biggest
sets keeps creeping up - largely driven by
the adult fan community I suspect.
Wow! Very well done. I bet it took ages!!!! Whats the biggest kit made by lego? I wish I still had my lego (I think my mother
may of got rid of it when we moved 2yrs ago)
I'd love to try and build a C150 which is
what I currently fly.

Nice to see the old girl done in lego form.
Shame she's been withdrawn from service. Weird going to see her in a museum. Going to see the future in the past.

Great! That blue stripe is well implemented, and the flag on the tail is looking good too.

WOw, would you want to sell this thing???? I want it!!!
Dunechaser (59 months ago | reply)
Hey Ed, you also made Gizmodo this morning. :-)
Lego Monster (59 months ago | reply)
Thanks Dunechaser. Does this mean I need a press agent now!*
Sebdude: I'd consider selling anything I built, but the cost, I fear, would be prohibitive!

Incredible. Did you built that from scratch or is it sold in the shops?
I loved building planes out of lego when I was a kid.

Is it up for sale? If so, how much would you want for it?
