    First proper attempt at a false colour near infrared image. Taken on my 60D, custom white balance and a 720nm IR filter from ebay.
    I have a long way to go before I'm happy with the photo's I'm producing with this filter but I'll get there

    Well I was just messing about and happened to visit bighugelabs so I thought I would enter my name into scout and see what came out.

    Apparently this image went up to #1 in interestingness on 19th July 2012. Now I never knew that

      yeah but I don't think I have it quite right yet. When I took the image to create the WB the grass was long and there was a lot of shadow in it so I think I need a better one.

      Yeah I think this particular lens does have a small hot spot. Typical of you to notice that ;-)

      As I said earlier mate I don't think I have the WB spot on yet and that's the reason I'm having trouble. I'll get it right eventually though just need to try again is all.

      tbh with you mate I think it's ok as a first attempt but I can and will certainly do better the next time

      Well I know nothing of all these technicalities but it certainly grabbed my attention

      we are all enjoying it without being supercritical as we dont have a clue about IR at all !!
