I can only speak for my own pain; I can't even come close to feeling anyone else's. With that said, there's no pain like a kidney stone. Only 4mm large, it caused me 1 full day of misery and added another 2 days getting over the drama of it all. During the pain episode, I honestly could not sit/lie still. In order to keep moving, I comtemplated jumping out the window. Not a good idea, but at least my pain would have been diverted elsewhere. This image is an attempt to depict my restlessness in the first 6 hours of my discovery of the kidney stone. I wish it upon no one.

January 26, 2012, U.S. Botanic Garden, Washington, DC. During the Winter, I am glued to the computer, mainly because I don't like going out into the cold. A photo buddy convinced me to leave my den and go photoging. I mainly worked on my off-camera flash skills, with dismal results (i.e. not too many keepers). but, it at least got me out of the house.

Week of January 22, 2012. I originally had another (I think better) idea for this. The lighting just wasn't working for me. I don't have proper backdrops, etc. but, NO EXCUSES.....so I came up with this. (I'll try my "better" idea later, after I learn how to properly use my lighting.)
