Curiosity

From Week 16 with my sweet girl Heather. She's faithful and supportive so I'm endeavoring to be better about being on time!

A silly little blog, here.

Calling it a Life

Calling it a Life

These days of April. I hate them. I count them down, and try to push through them as quickly as possible. But growth is good and time does seem to heal. Truly. If I believe and wait long enough to stop yapping about what I deserve and who has done wrong by my...it does heal.

Downpour

Downpour

A beautiful shot made even more striking by my friend and mentor, Jessica Drossin. I love the way textures add so much drama and depth to a shot. Jessica is the master of creating them.

SO honored to be a part of the marketing for her newest texture pack. SWEET!!

Full Moon Push

Full Moon Push

Time for the weekly collaboration with Heather. Her shot is here, and I love it.

Struggling a little lately with routines and planning, finding ways do to what I want to do amidst what everyone else seems to want from me. Kinda a constant, it just feels a little more acute lately.

If you like a good ramble. Have a go.

messy and uncertain

messy and uncertain

It's frustrating not to be able to say things sometimes, well...all the time.

I took this shot for my collaboration with Heather, to make up for a previous week of blog love that I didn't find time for...but it's much more.

I found out today that my suspicions about a child were true. The bruises were not falls, the scratches were not accidents. He's a survivor. A true Oliver Twist. He lies to save himself. He covers like a trained criminal. I've never seen a sneakier, more dishonest child. I've never seen a child more well trained to cover up for the grotesque adults in his life.

Today I found out that he ran through the woods. That he showed up at a classmate's home, bloody and beaten at midnight. That the call from his parents that he had the flu, was a lie...and that I may never see him again.

It's messy and uncertain. I'm scared for him. For his future. I'm fearful of these liars who have been in my presence and who have hurt this child. I'm frustrated, sad...and so tired of holding my tongue.

Much LESS is said on my blog.
