Last Mother's Day we surprised my mom with a stay at the Animal Kingdom Lodge. She'd been wanting to stay there for forever and wanted to go to Disney World for Mother's Day weekend, as we usually do. Once we got on Disney property, we stole her glasses (she's blind without them, don't worry... she wasn't driving!) and made her guess where we were going. She is also directionally challenged so she thought we were somewhere near Port Orleans. When we pulled in to the resort we gave her glasses back and she started jumping up and down in her seat while we parked.

Our room had a view of Everest and a family of giraffes (with a baby!) liked to hang out around our balcony. My mom loved staying there and always mentions going back again. We're surprising her this weekend with another Mother's Day room at the Animal Kingdom Lodge. I'm expecting the same reaction.

In 2009 I went on a family road trip and one of our stops was Boston. The main thing on the top of our list was to visit Fenway Park. As Rays fans, we all wanted to hate it, but as baseball fans we couldn't help but fall in love with the park. It was amazing to look down on this field that so many amazing baseball greats have set foot on.

I hope to go back in the future for a game so I can watch, in person, the Rays beat the Red Sox on their home turf. ;)

I haven't made it out to see this year's F&G Festival. Hopefully I'll make it out there soon because it's one of my favorite times of year at Epcot.

BF and I went to Rays Opening Day vs. the Yankees on Friday and had an amazing time! I am so excited that baseball is back!! I am also excited that Carlos Pena is back with the Rays and clearly he is pretty excited too. His first at bat back in the Trop, he hit a grand slam! Here he is watching the ball sail deep into the right field seats!
We went to the game on Saturday as well and watched another great game. The Rays went on to sweep the Yankees and are currently 3-0! Not a bad way to start the season! :)

I did an engagement shoot at Sand Key Beach the other day. There really is nothing like spending a gorgeous afternoon at the beach.
