Barn girl's photostream

Handheld with a bit of help from a barrier. Had my tripod but so fed up of being harassed every time i got it out of the bag, I didn't use it.

There's an article in this month's photography monthly taking much the same shot from further back, and using a variable ND grad filter (voodoo!!) to get a long exposure and blur out the endless tourists. As I'm not good at getting up at 5am, I think I could do with one of those...

This is where I am now - for now at least, like everyone locally who can, we'll be running away during the Olympics.

I wanted that lensbaby so much, but i'm never happy with the results from it. I can't control the focus point at all. Anyone else using one who has clever tips?
