Past and present Mustangs on display at the Ford exhibit. Design stylings sure do change over the years. These two Mustangs separated by only 20 years have such a radically different look.

Ford 2013 Shelby GT 500 Convertible

Front and center at the 2013 Chicago Auto Show is the Ford display, and to greet you this year is a beautiful lineup of Mustangs. Along with this year's models is one from the 1992 Chicago Auto Show to commemorate a 20th anniversary for Ford.

Ford selected Chicago to unveil the 2013 Shelby GT500 Convertible. This model also serves as the celebratory vehicle of the 20th anniversary of Ford’s Special Vehicle Team (SVT)-- Chicago was the official launch of SVT during the 1992 show, when Ford debuted the 1993 SVT Mustang Cobra.

The Shelby GT500 is equipped with a 5.8-liter supercharged V8 engine that produces 650 horsepower and a track-tested speed of more than 200 mph, establishing it as the most powerful production V8 in the world.

Spaceship Earth... artfully captured.
When at EPCOT, I will always attempt to capture Spaceship Earth in a new and creative way. I find the possibilities near limitless with such a visually fascinating structure that is the geosphere.

It Really is a Magic Kingdom

It Really is a Magic Kingdom

Captured from the Tomorrowland Peoplemover right after the sun dipped beneath the horizon.
Upon seeing this sight I knew the exact end result, a silhouette image with the recognizable castle spires against the dramatic sunset sky.

Digital Paint

Digital Paint

Every now and then I like to take a photo and really play around and experiment with it in Photoshop. I find it to be fun and a good way to test my creativity to see what I can come up with. This time I wanted to take a photo and make it look as much like a painting as possible.. a certain style of painting that probably looks familiar to most (think Van Gogh). This required a lot of manipulation across the image, working on small sections at a time and then continually going back to get the look just right. The grid overlay option in Photoshop was key for this, as I could break down the entire piece and work square to square.

I'm satisfied with the transformation of this image. It's kind of neat to see how it turned out as a whole after working on individual areas little by little. Looking back at the original photo and then the finished result is also quite neat.
