Sundhöll Hafnarfjarðar - Swimming hall of Hafnarfjordur, Iceland - help

Sundhöll Hafnarfjarðar - Swimming hall of Hafnarfjordur, Iceland - help

The darkness of what is going on in Iceland at the moment and perhaps just starting. Swimming hall of Hafnarfjordur, Iceland. The pool is 4 lines, 25 m. It is one of deepest swimming pool in Iceland. The diving springboard in the hall was very populare in the past. Out on the balcony are two Jacuzzis and there is also a Finnish sauna. The only open one in the town for public. It is the only swimming pool in two town parts the north and the vest, a town of about 25 thousand inhabitants. Our town board is considering closing the hall for public now because of financial problems of Iceland. People are against it and are afraid of the next steps Some people have used that pool for swimming, social meetings etc for tents of years some almost all they're life. We are afraid of what will happen to some of those folks, our moms and dads, grandma and grandparents and the kids who are playing in the pool, will they just go to the streets and learn bad things there. Sport facilities are told to be best protections from drugs, alcohol, smoking etc. Join us and be against that closing and tell them with us that they wound save money this way. Too send of low salary staff and let our public pool stand empty. It would be more far to the public to have it still open, even put in more staff and have extra open hours, What is better than that when we are looking at 14 thousand unemployed in Iceland, where population of the whole county is little more then 300 thousand. Lot of people have been missing there jobs, huge amount of saving and pension, houses, cars etc. and now they want to take swimming from us as well. The cost of warm water and electricity is very cheap in Iceland they don't safe a lot that way because they are going to use the pool like we always have been doing for school swimming lessons. Join us being against closing the public times, there are two elder homes very close with hundreds of people living in. Some of them use the pool like others. Please we need it, thanks for reading this and taking a look at the picture I took middle of night. Many call the pool a sign of our town next to the entry of one of the oldest harbour of Iceland. Its important pool for the swim club and the open water swimming, they planed to use the facilities. Swimming in the sea where our grandfathers and great grand-mams learn, exactly outside the pool. So its also shame to destroy that work as well closing the public hours. Cutting the strings to history is always very bad. A sport which is very popular now in Iceland. sea swimming All because of bad control of the authorities and private companies gambling with our life's our town board is considering closing this nice swim hall. Please help us the public using our swimming hall by signing up on this group. And best of all visiting our town and the hall. www.facebook.com/#!/home.php?sk=group_193578990653444&amp...
