Coming out of The Vatican - I saw this woman begging. In cities, we tend to walk on by - just as the four women did. I wanted to catch their shoes in the photo - illuminating how people sometimes just "walk on by" those who need help. Sadly, we often ignore the reality of poverty and the underbelly of city life for those less fortunate.
This photo was taken on July 11, 2008 using a Nikon D40.

I think plata43 she is the same. I saw the same woman I took the photo of in a couple of plazas surrounding the Vatican over a few days. Your photo is very evocative!
