Sometimes a love of photography can afford certain benefits. Today at work I had the opportunity to escape my desk to go out and shoot some pictures of our city for an ad. My co-workers invited me up on the Rail King to go for a ride as we moved rail cars from the tracks to the businesses they serve. Afterward, they even let me drive the Rail King back to where I was parked.
In our small town, the Public Works crews get to do a lot of jobs not usually done by city crews. Today they are unloading rail cars for local industry.
I took this shot after they let me on board to go for a ride. They even let me drive it.
This year I volunteered to decorate a Christmas tree at the local museum. The theme was to pick a country from around the world and since I had Chinese ornaments, I picked China. It also has some Rotary ornaments and banners too. 2012 is the Year of the Dragon, so I put dragons in the tree top.
