The intensity and colour of this magical light was changing rapidly at this time of the morning.

It was the line of ships in silhouette on the horizon that caught my eye as they headed out of the Solent into the open sea.

Inspired by the book "Jonathan Livingstone Seagull" by Richard Bach.

"To the real Jonathan Seagull who lives within us all"

This seagull was gliding majestically and effortlessly on the wind, following a ship across the Solent.

Taken during the golden hour before sunset on Hastings Beach on the Scott Kelby Worldwide Photowalk Day 2011.

We saw this as we made our way home and this yacht named "Tiswas" was sailing serenely along the coast into the sun.

This conger eel is a piece of street sculpture on display in one of the side roads near the seafront.
