Kenan Özbel'e saygı
Kenan Özbel was born in Yaniha in 1904.After he had graduated from the
Acedemy of fine artshe was assigned as a drawing
teacherand workedin the high schools in Mersin,Adana, Bursa,Ankara and
İstanbul.İn 1941
he was apointed
to Technical Training College for Girls in Ankara.His assignment in
colleges continued up to1969 at State Fine ArtAcademy,Institute of
TurkishHistorical Arts,State Practical Fine ArtsSchool.
Kenan Özbel has conscentratedhis works and researches inhandicrafts in
collecting the orginalsamples of handicraftsand in publicationson this
subjects in 1971 Ministry of Education of the Republic of Turkey has
awarded him with an honour certificate and professorship for his
efforts as works.
Konya knitware and Turkish clothes section of Konya Atatürk Museum,
folkloric socks section of Bursa museumas well as Kenan Özbel Museum
at Alay Köşkü in Topkapı Palace are among the arrangements of Prof
Özbel....
