Walking The Lake [the Relations Project : 7]

Walking The Lake [the Relations Project : 7]

Week 7

Mark's subject from last week was Endless. An endless view for him, a winter wonderland for me...

Welcome to Austria. Zell am See to be precise. The "See", which means lake in German, is completely frozen and you can take a shortcut to the city by crossing the lake. We have this nice view from the campside.

Peace [the Relations Project : 6]

Peace [the Relations Project : 6]

Week 6

First, to describe the relation with Mark's shot from week 5: the person in the picture is somebody we love very much.

As I mentioned in my previous shot, my grandfather was about to make his final journey. A journey to find peace for his body and his soul. On Monday February 6th 2012 our beloved grandfather passed away. In this picture he lies so peacefully, he could've opened his eyes any time... but he didn't :-(

----------------------

Beste Chris,

in het leven wordt gelachen
daardoor ken je mij,
maar af en toe huilen
dat hoort er ook bij

blijf bij je familie
zolang je het kan,
wanneer je tijd gekomen is
dat merken we pas dan

het is aangenaam hierboven
ben niet bang,
vertel je liefje Mien
dat ik jou hier opvang

The Road Ahead [the Relations Project : 5]

The Road Ahead [the Relations Project : 5]

Week 5

Do you remind that splendid picture that Mark took previously? Terrific shot, wasn't it!?

So today we were heading towards family and we drove on this beautiful road with trees on both sides. The road leads towards an old castle (Kasteel Limbricht). The sun was positioned perfectly so I stopped and took this one shot... this one's for my grandfather, to support him on the last journey he is about to make :'-(

Wolly Dolly [the Relations Project : 4]

Wolly Dolly [the Relations Project : 4]

Week 4

Last week Mark posted a picture of some knitted socks, that guided me directly to the fields of grazing sheep which is very exceptional at this time of the year. Normally everything would be covered in at least of few inches of snow.

So here is Wolly Dolly, at January 28th 2012, grazing like usual...

Little Princess [the Relations Project : 3]

Little Princess [the Relations Project : 3]

Week 3

What pops up in your mind when you see a frog... somehow I read and heard quite enough fairytales and other stories to first think of a princess. Do you remember? The story of the princess and the frog? Of course you do!

So here is my little princess, in particular my little sister with a little princess' crown. A few years ago she was "Princess Carnaval" in our hometown, so she even is an authentic princess.

Be sure to check out Mark's shot of week 3!
