Day 38: To spy or not to spy...

    you know I was all ready to do a TGIF shot and then I noticed I didn't have a cigar so it must be Thursday, hence the look.

    I was also trying to do something to this shot. I am not sure what...but something.
    maybe vintage? does this look vintage in any way? if so then that is exactly what I Was trying to do. if you said no this doesn't look vintage then the picture just got garbled in processing.

    PS. this was not originally intended to be a spy shot but I got remarked that I looked like either James bond or a Sketchy Russian 2nd rate spy, so I guess this is the shot that started it all.

      Slicked back hair and a black turtleneck are a classic combination that looks fantastic in B&W. Really nice.

      thank you, this is not my usual style, I usually go B&W and high contrast when I do color, the washed out look is something that I thought I would try.

      you are most welcome. and thank you in return, I wasnt very happy with anything I took yesterday but the battery died after this shot so I was stuck with it.

      well it's Friday eve? it's not "hump" day. the weekend is in sight and in these parts Thursday is one of the best nights to go out.. =)

      yeah...it has a vintage-y quality. To me it has a civil war soldier kinda look, especially since you can't really tell what you're wearing and it could be a uniform. You have that solemn expression they wore in photographs. Kind of like a more modern tintype.

      Thank you! I take that as a real compliment, I grew up with my dad regaling me with tales of the war, he was a history buff and the civil war was his favorite period. thank you for your take on this shot, you have actually helped me look at it in a new way.

      I love this! The tone is amazing! I think it has the vintage feel to it... you remind me of someone like James Bond or something like that! I have a photo that I took back in October that everyone says I look like I'm a spy, we would go well together in those photos!! lol....
