Bald Eagle - Alaska

This Bald Eagle was at a salmon hatchery in Ketchikan, Alaska. They
had TWO that had broken wings and would never fly again. Fortunately,
the Bald Eagle is close to being taken off the "endangered"
list.
I saw several eagles in the wild, but not any worth showing. . .

This is absolutely stunning. I will be in Alaska in less than a week! I hope to see some bald eagles, but I don't have a telephoto lens for my new camera yet...

what a sad thing to think about an eagle with broken wings not able to fly ever again ... nevertheless, this image is beautiful, the eagle of course too!
