Just going through some old photos and found this one. This was before I was even interested in taking pictures.
This was my proposal (duh) in front of Buckingham Fountain in Chicago. I stopped a lady on her walk to work and asked her to take a photo of us, she asked what I wanted in it and I said, "you'll know when you see it."
As i dug around in my backpack (we took the train in from the burbs so we had a overnight stay planned) to grab the ring box, Lacey (the one in the air) kept pestering me to hurry up because the camera lady had to get going.
Finally I found that d@M^ ring box, boy I hid it really well. It didn't help that my hands were shaking and I was sick in my gut.
Anyway, that is our little story. The rest is what you can see. Spent a good day touring Chicago with my new fiancee that day. I really wish I know to always make sure the lens in clean back then. Every picture from this day has that grease spot in it. Oh well.
