Carlton Bridge Reflection (Bath, Maine)

Historic 1927 Carlton Bridge over the Kennebec River on the Maine Eastern Railroad and former US 1 in Bath, Sagadahoc County, Maine.

 

The bridge is a steel Warren deck truss lift bridge with a rail deck below a highway deck. It was built in 1927 and rehabilitated in 1976.

 

It was bypassed by a new bridge in 2000 and the highway deck has been abandoned.
