Lady Puffin

Lady Puffin

A man and his son, created from a dream, a nightmare of a craft. Balanced precariously atop a sizeable helium balloon, the ships twin rotors cut dangerously close to the main steering wheel. Not only that but the systems steam engines run out alarmingly fast due to the small containment vessels and thus water should always be kept around in plenty with a brave soul ready to refill them.

Amidst all the pipes and tubing is barely enough space for the required to pilots and as such Mary, the mother and wife, thought the whole craft was a rather idiotic endeavour. Regardless of her nagging, scolding, yelling, begging and threatening, the two men took off on a rather splendid journey to, not surprisingly, their demise.

Sad, and alone Mary reverted back into a child after losing all she cared about, building a fairytale land out of Lego.

After a rather long while building, I present my final entry into the Iron Builder Challenge and my rebuttal to Monster's personal steam-punk challenge. This thing is ridiculously hard to photograph but I will attempt better pictures tomorrow.

The balloon was inspired by the Bram Sphere design though it had some significant modifications to allow for symmetrical elongation.

The Altairi fighters are known for their rather large cannons and swift flying. Usually flown by rebel forces against the monstrous empire.

A quick little fighter. As a note, there are only 4 'normal' connections in this little fighter of 17 pieces.
