Night time bimbling on the beach at Bamburgh.
I was cursing a little at the brightness of the castle lights, but after taking a few shots noticed how the sand came to life and glistened beautifully. After that I liked the lights, almost like flaming beacons sending their energy up into the night sky and towards the dark sea
I Had the place completely to myself for a couple of hours before the inevitable tide of dog walkers swept in, coinciding precisely with the rising of the sun. Then all felt normal, spent and expired, the mystery and magic of the nightfall had vanished completely, so I headed north in search of clear skies, and hopes of catching Auroras within the next wave of darkness.
