      So with a long beak like this does it mean they pick insects out of trees and stuff like that?

      Yes they do! They will spend a long time digging and pecking on one spot just to get insects. All nuthatchs have this shape on there bill. Search on flickr and type in (Nuthatch) and see all kinds of defferant types of nuthatchs!

      Oh okay.....I will do that. It's amazing how many varieties there can be in just one species. My gran can differenciate finches (I think it is...the wee little ones that all look alike to me) which always makes my jaw drop.
