Its all about perspective...

Its all about perspective...

Shot with Canon EOS 40D + Canon EF 24-105mm 1:4,0 L IS USM

I am back from my trip to Düsseldorf and Cologn that I did with my amazing girlfriend Mandy.
Düsseldorf was a bit disappointing, as well in terms of weather as of the city itself, but cologn was a lot better. Nevertheless, this shot is from Düsseldorf. We stayed close to this building and I had a deep urge to shoot it. I enjoyed the architecture, and surprisingly, I liked almost all of my shots from that spot. I will publish 2 other frames during this week, which is really unsual for me (so many shots of the same topic). Probably thats a good sign that tells me I am starting to find my style and way. Whatever, since I am not really into architecture, I would love to receive feedback in terms of what I could do better next time.

We are all here to learn, right?

Best Wishes my dear Flickrites!!!

Budapest Liberty Bridge - Szabadság híd

Budapest Liberty Bridge - Szabadság híd

Shot with Canon EOS 40D + Canon EF 24-105mm 1:4,0 L IS USM

This image summarizes almost everything that is remarkable and interesting about Budapest. Bridges, Trams and Decoration Light.
In my opinion this is the nicest of the several beautiful bridges in Budapest, and I went here often to shoot it.

BTW: I scored the 72nd position in the biggest european photography contest (at least thats how they describe themselves), the "Blende". I am incredibly proud and will write about that in the coming days over at my Website

Day and Night (Fishermans Bastion)

Day and Night (Fishermans Bastion)

Shot with Canon EOS 40D + Sigma 10-20mm

This is a composite of 4 images, taken over a time of 45 minutes.
I had my tripod standing there, with me behind it.
I somehow trapped myself inside a recess in the wall to get all four windows into the frame and had to wait in there over the whole time to not change the perspective.
The people coming in did of course not expect me to stand in this recess, and were either finding it funny or creepy. It was interesting.

I published the first part of my travel journal on my Website.
Have a look!

Another shot of this building. This was one of my very favourite spots in Budapest and I went there quiet often.

Lovely view, isnt it?
