Led lamp, quite average studio shot

Led lamp, quite average studio shot

All righ amigos, this morning I did everything wrong which is usually what always happens when you are in a hurry. Wrong background, wrong lights, couldn't figure out the WB etc. etc. Anyway, I wanted to show you my new toy, a led lamp for my studio works. This thing is so powerful that I will have to figure out a way (neutral grey filter very much likely) to be able to keep a long enough exposure without having to work at f40, which in terms of sharpness absolutely sucks. I have also taken few shots of other stuff painting with the Led but I'll upload them in another moment.

Waterville, Kerry, Ireland. HDR sunset shot

Waterville, Kerry, Ireland. HDR sunset shot

A bit of work for Photomatix, here's a multiple exposure shot batched with that software. I had to clone a bit of an invasive flare and tried to edit it as natural as it gets, if that is possible when working with HDR

Molix' Sculpo, Studio shot with two lights and laser pen painting

Molix' Sculpo, Studio shot with two lights and laser pen painting

Apologize me if I used the same lure again and again, during this session I wanted to concentrate on the lights, not the product. This is quite easy to understand and do, is about light painting done with the Laser pen with the single ray. I'm not sure if I like the light trail hiding behind the lure or not, maybe it would be nicer separate from the body but this way gives a sort of 3D appearance to it...you will tell me.

SB800 through Lastolite EzyBox on camera right as fill
Light trails painted with a Green Laser pointer

Chennai, India. Portrait of a man

Chennai, India. Portrait of a man

Yesterday I was browsing through my old photo galleries and found this image, whcih I had forgotten for too long. I like his expression and the background as well; is out of focus but if you look carefully there are water pipes dropping water (nice kind of bokeh coming from the drops) and this man was there to wash his stoves. Unfortunately the image is far from being perfect, is a tad blurry or at least not as sharp as I wished. Still like it with its flaws.

Shamann Popper, studio shot with smoke

Shamann Popper, studio shot with smoke

One day before the laser pen I received a couple of spray cans of artificial smoke. Actually I was willing to get myself one of those smoke machines but I though (once in a while it happens ... ) I could better try off with something cheaper to see how it works before investing in a stupid machine. Anyway, the spray cans work pretty decently and shooting with a relatively long exposure gave me enough time to creat a foggy atmosphere. I had to work a bit on the light in order to light the smoke, see details.
