Iglesia mozárabe de San Cebrián de Mazote (Valladolid). Castilla y
León
Iglesia monástica donde se pueden encontrar reminiscencias
paleocristianas y visigodas. Al igual que la de San Miguel de la
Escalada, fundada por una comunidad monástica de mozárabes procedentes
de Al-Andalus a finales del siglo IX. En la actualidad es la iglesia
mozárabe de mayor tamaño que se conserva. Tiene planta basilical cuyas
naves se cubren con techumbre de madera, mientras el resto de los
espacios, entre los que destacan sus característicos ábsides
contrapuestos, están abovedados. La nave central tiene doble altura
que las laterales permitiendo la apertura de cuatro ventanas a cada
lado que dotan al espacio interior de gran luminosidad.
