This is the first picture from my first ever 'proper shoot'. It was
for a band called the 'Crystal Fighters', and was the scariest, yet
most exciting thing I have done with my photography to date. Including
the 4 in the band, there were ten of us in total on the two locations.
It was the first time i had ever used a make-up artist, and my first
shoot using my new camera - so i was basically terrified! I've been
unwell for the last 6 weeks and was so worried about doing this, but i
can now say it was the best day I have had since losing my mother.
It was wild, wonderful, chaos..... we burned armchairs, I had to wear
a wetsuit and get in a pond. I made props, mood boards,
researched........ it was unlike anything i have ever done before, it
was wonderful, and has helped me feel so much better in myself too.

enormously with the technical side - I simply could not have done it
without him. I also have to thank the lovely Eva, for helping me so
much with the styling, and body painting (which involved throwing mud
at the male members of the band!!) There's loads to tell and explain
about what we did, and who the Crystal Fighters are, and I will write
a proper full account in my blog as soon as I get a moment. But for
now Its late, and im exhausted, so this is the beautiful Mimi one of
the singers in the band.... none of the band have ever modeled
before, and they were all amazing. If you want to know more, you can

This is such a brilliant portrait! Beccy Lindon just visited me in LA, and we were at a club in Hollywood, and this photo came up on the screen advertising a night they had at the club, and she instantly knew straight away it was yours... I hadn't seen it before, but I'm so glad I found it. Absolutely stunning work as always! ;)
I'm sure she'll tell you about it when she return to London tomorrow!
And I hope whoever found the photo to use it, got permission! Or that you're getting some sort of recognition for it! x

Miss Brit - really !!!! WTF! No i know nothing about it! cheeky sods!! But very cool you guys were 'in a club in hollywood' how glam! I havent heard from Beccy I didnt even know she was out there. Thanks for the lovely comment xx
