i saw a doe munching on grass as i turned off
the pavement and drove a mile to this spot
and read maps while waiting on the stars. at
one point i look up and was startled to see a
doe 10 feet from my car! hello:)
she ambles down the canyon so i get out to
see where she went.... as i close the car
door i hear a series of crashing branches and
very loud huffing noises that deer don't
usually make since they're so dainty???
the huffing slowly recedes into the distance
and continues longer than my comfort zone
allows so i hid my chicken strips in the
glove box and gradually became un-skeered. a
few hours later i was looking at this shot on
the lcd and noticed..... the SAME doe looking
in my window from 5 feet away! i moved well
out of range...
wow, so much light from the moon... I really
thought of trying to get a good moon shot
last night too but just kept driving....
places to go you know! Besides you got the
good ones....
Gorgeous moon and stars shot. I get a little
worried myself when I hear strange crashes
and huffing in the bushes. I'm always on the
lookout for Bigfoot at night. :)

A very beautiful image! :-)
I need to get out and try more night shots, we don't have bear here so I won't have to worry about that part! :-)

Maybe the deer wanted some chicken strips too! One great vacation shot from many to come!

I see trouble on the way. :)
That was a deer story. The suspense was more than I could bear. But that is because a saw a bad moon rising.
