My second attempt at star trails and this one's fairly noisy considering ISO 160 for 100 minutes...
My first go at long exposure star shots... www.twanight.org/newTWAN/news/6047-21.jpg found it's way to the short list on the TWAN dark sky awareness projects competition even though it was flawed.

These are fun but you tie up your gear for hours with no guarantee of good results so i lean towards the 30 sec. exposures in hope of catching a falling star.

what was it you called that, the galactic equator or something? it is amazing how it switches like in a mirror... beautiful! We are blessed with such great beauty.. I humbly try to capture or reflect a small part of what I see, with gratefulness,,, well, except sometimes!
Wonderful shot lbs... and is your phone happy again?

That's so cool! :-) I agree with the others, love the fact that it looks like a cylinder. Haven't tried star trails yet but want to!
