With the right sunlight, its golden color shines very brightly.

To be upfront, this kid is playing with a toy gun he just bought. He's also by himself and in a crowded shopping district yet he doesn't raise any eyebrows. He did catch my eye though when I saw how comfortable and familiar he was with the gun. Japan is a very safe place to live but it's also one of the countries with rising youth violence, and much has been written about possible causes. A common scapegoat are the media and video games, yet that relation doesn't hold in many other countries.

Some researchers say there could be a link between the rise in youth violence and the level of estrangement between kids and parents. Japanese parents work longer and longer hours and have very little time to pay attention to their kids. When kids feel they have nobody that listens to their point of view and help them deal with their problems they may feel compelled to deal with them in another way.
