We woke Wednesday to the much expected "snowmageddon" or maybe it was just a"snowfoon." anyway, 16 inches at my house sooo, I got geared up (I don't recall ever having to don any alpine gear at home, but then I live at 93' above sea level so why would I? Ok, ok, back on track. . . I decided to go down to the beach to survey the snowy scenery. . .Actually I took a good long snowshoe around my hood and out to the point, ending at the beach and I'd love to show you more, but flickr has that pesky 90 second video limit thingy to deal with.

It's been a grand snow filled week, great fun with all the schools closed and the massive power outages and freezing rain ensuring that no one was going to get to work. . .the "snowed in times" turned out, for us at least to be gift of sorts. lots of scrabble and cards and sledding and lots of "refrigerator vs. the wok" meals.

yep, a week of quiet beauty and a busy kitchen . . .life will generally ship some stuff out that will mess up all the plans we have or think we have. we get to choose how we deal with all that resistance.
