It was taken from a building on the the
street side of the temple. David and I were
there early before everything got started, we
decided to see if we could get on top of one
of the buildings, a great big smile and a bow
got us up on top to take some photos. We went
back later for a bit better light but by that
time they had closed and locked the door. If
you are there again look around it is pretty
obvious which building, its the only one that
you really could get on top of to take photos
of the temple.
i have to agree that the sky is a little
detrimental to the shot. i prefer the photos
focusing more on the temple itself than the
surrounding buildings.
it was quite a stroke of luck to get up there
and see the temple from that angle though ...
we captured a unique view of one of korea's
most famous temples.

If the colors of the laterns were a little brighter and background was less grey it would be better. Excellent capture overall.
