LADAKH : Day 6
A young nomadic Changpa girl with flocks of hundreds of goats.
Another wonderful day and it’s been uneventful journey back from Tsomoriri to Leh where we passed a camp of nomads in Changtang Plateau, east of Ladakh.
The Changthang is a high altitude vast flat land surrounded by mountains, valleys, and big lakes. The people of the Changthang are nomadic, and are known as 'Changpa' (northern people, the Tibetans, and the Ladakhi). For centuries they have lived in this high altitude landscape. Their live stock consists of yak, horses, sheep, and pashmina goats locally known as Changra goats.
