Sweet Iris

When I was darting from garden to garden last week, these REALLY caught my eye.

Caught my eye because aside from grass and of course the trees (living in a forest, no getting away from them!)this was the only splash of colour in the garden.

These are obviously Iris's but they are miniatures and don't grow on stems but close to the ground. I hadn't seen Iris's like this before (JANE have you??)

I just loved them and was so pleased when they popped up on the screen. Minimal tweaking: cropping and added an orton effect.
