I stopped abruptly on my way home when I saw this amazing colour in the rearview mirror. Nice that there happened to be a barn there too. I almost always have my camera right beside me on the seat, after learning a few lessons about how fast the light changes.
Doing this series, I am surprised every day at how many forms barns can take. We have an abundance of red ones here, and a few green ones too. They are old, young, refurbished, falling down, and multi-coloured. I hope you are enjoying them too.

The weather changed dramatically in the past 24 hours. Here are some rural shots, admittedly hastily taken in the bitter cold and wind. I added one taken three days ago as a contrast, and respite.
I'm going to be smiling secretly about this weather very soon. Head's up.

The tools of the trade get bigger and shinier, more powerful, but still, the job is the same. Get the seeds in the ground, pray for good weather, enjoy the harvest, get it to market. These old implements are fascinating in shape, texture, colours, and man's ingenuity to invent and put them to use.

Nothing like a day with a wee child, full of wonder and a million questions. After this day, I was in bed with the lights out at 9:30.
