    Love the selective coloring and your tags too. LOL...
    A friend of mine has a couple of marbles that belonged to her kids (who are in their 20's) and she finds them from time to time when sweeping the floors. She never picks them up just sweeps them from out of the way, a reminder of when her kids were young.

    thank you all...calamity, i love that story about your friend! how endearing! i live in the house i grew up in and from time to time i come across one in the yard and i pick it up and add it to my mason (or is it ball) jar full of marbles. reminds me of my own childhood where i still try to reside!

    There looks like there are several clay and several minerals in there. The ones that look like they are smooth rounded rocks are the mineral ones. The clay ones won't be as smooth or as heavy.
