Global Lives Project - Malawi (2007-2009)
|
"The Global Lives Project" is an innovative video installation, as well as a collaborative online video library of the human experience.
Edith Kaphuka, who was 13 years-old and living just outside of Zomba during the time of our shoot, was our main subject.
For the last year, an incredible team of volunteers have been working through a facebook group to transcribe (in Chichewa) and translate (into English) all 24 hours of Edith's day.
In-progress screenings have already taken place in Sao Paulo, New York, Tokyo, and San Francisco.
