Flood Woolshed Falls

Flood Woolshed Falls

Mount Pilot National Park, Victoria, Australia

We’ve had sooo much rain around Southern New South Wales over the last couple of days, lots of flooding in various places. I think Albury had 143 Millimetres yesterday alone and another 100 is predicted tomorrow. I decided to venture south of the border to get a glimpse of Woolshed Falls, just outside of Beechworth, to see what they were like after the rains, and wow were they raging!! Crazy stuff.

Taipei National Concert Hall

Taipei National Concert Hall

Zhongzheng District,Taipei, TAIWAN

The National Theater (Chinese: 國家戲劇院) and National Concert Hall (Chinese: 國家音樂廳) are twin performing arts venues in Zhongzheng District, Taipei, Taiwan. Completed in 1987, they are Taiwan’s primary national performing arts venues. The landmarks stand, respectively, on the south and north sides of Liberty Square in front of the Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall. Together the structures are referred to by the acronym NTCH serving as facilities of the National Chiang Kai-shek Cultural Center.

One of my favourite shots from the trip, I got lucky with some great light and clouds.

Tapei Sunset

Tapei Sunset

Elephant Mountain, Taipei, Taiwan

Taiwan isn’t the most popular destination for Australian travellers in Asia, but I’d seen various photos and read up about it and had become really fascinated with it, so on a recent trip I combined Hong Kong with Taipei, and ended up enjoying Taipei even more than Hong Kong!
This was taken from the most popular viewpoint overlooking Taipei and its famous building, the Taipei 101 which is in my opinion the finest skyscraper in the world. It’s a magnificent building! The walk up Elephant mountain was extremely steep and I ended up finding out I wasn’t as fit as I thought, but after spending 20 minutes recovering from the walk, the view was absolutely spectacular.

The Amazing Hong Kong Skyline

The Amazing Hong Kong Skyline

Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon, Hong Kong.

Another of Hong Kong’s most photographed views, but it’s for good reason, as you’re looking at what is in my opinion the world’s finest skyline.
Looking across Victoria Harbour to the brightly lit skyscrapers of the Hong Kong Island Skyline, from the Tsim sha Tsui Promenade in Kowloon.
This shot was pretty much an afterthought, as we were walking back to the hotel from dinner and after 2 days of smog filled skies, I randomly noticed the air was looking a lot clearer, so out popped the camera and away i clicked!
