Turkey feathers.

Turkey feathers.

I love this photo. It has texture, I think.

Christmas Candles

Christmas Candles

From a "series" I did over Christmas, all of unfocused shots.

This is my grandparents' table after dinner one evening.

All those funny little circles are chocolate coin wrappers smoothed out by my cousins. It's a classic Christmas activity at Grandma and Grandpa's. : )

Winter Frost.

Winter Frost.

A long time with no uploading. I should be writing a paper right now, but I just looked through my Christmas break photos. There's good material there, I think, and it's just been sitting untouched in a folder because I'm a busy student. Soon, perhaps, I'll actually share some.

But for now, this one, which is a classic sort of photo for me.
Frost is always lovely.

And here, I'll share one more thing besides a photo:

“And I said to all these things in my external environment: ‘Tell me of my God who you are not, tell me something about him.’ And with a great voice they cried out: ‘He made us’ (Ps. 99:3). My question was the attention I gave to them, and their response was their beauty.”

Augustine, from Confessions.

(It's what I've been reading for my Medieval Philosophy class of late.)
