Leaving On A Jet Plane
Last night I went to Torrey Pines Glider Port to try and catch some of the para gliders flying around near the cliffs, unfortunately, they had all packed up!!
Waited around for the sunset which slowly sank into the dreaded 'marine layer'. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marine_layer
This probably turned out my best shot of the night. You can see the vapor trails of aircraft leaving San Diego, as Lindbergh Field only has one runway aircraft usually head out over the ocean and turn around to head back over land (unless they're going to Hawaii and beyond.)

I was attracted to this picture by its great colors. When I read your "Torrey Pines" comment, I had to smile, given that this was taken within a mile of where you may have been (as you can see from the map). Coincidences always amaze and amuse me.
