His Big Day

His Big Day

Hello All My Friends,

I haven't disappeared from mother Earth yet...just in case you're wondering where I am.
It's the same old story called WORK. Oh well, here's the last wedding shot I am uploading because this is a special one and I owe it to my friend Chris as this is done with his f/2 135mm lens. Yes, shot wide open. Great lens & thanks again for lending it to me. I know I owe you too many things...

Weekend's coming up soon. Hope the beautiful weather stays. Enjoy yours!

Brioche Bread Pudding

Brioche Bread Pudding

I recently had an excellent bread pudding in Seattle and it made me think of my dad. Dad was a great supporter of my baking. From the famous British rock cakes that I learnt to make at my high school in those early years to the more refined brioche bread pudding of late, he savoured and complimented on all of my endeavors. Over the years, I catered to his preference and skipped the cinnamon spice on all kinds of baking. The very last time I made bread pudding for him was on his birthday in 2008. I made it again today because I miss bringing him my goodies.

Happy Birthday, Dad. Hope you know that we all miss you lots.

Anticipation

Anticipation

It's December! Hard to believe we're in the last month of the year already. If you have been giving too much focus on one aspect of your life or putting effort into a relationship that's going nowhere, perhaps it's time for a change. I like new perspectives. While everyone was focusing on the bride coming down the aisle, I couldn't help but notice my friend clasping his hands against the many other pairs of hands in a similar gesture. The feeling of anticipation may not have been shown on everyone's face but it was definitely overwhelming in their hands.

Have a wonderful weekend, everyone!

Hello Flickr friends,

I'm back! Spent quite a few days processing the wedding photos I took in HK. Never have I been so efficient to come up with 20 black & white photos in less than a week. (Only you guys know I am a low output person when it comes to photos...hehe...). So, off these went to the bride & groom. And the first thing the groom said to me was, "I am greedy. Are there any more?" I am so glad I was not the main photographer who shot the wedding because for a single move such as signing the marriage papers, he must have snapped a good 20 shots per person. I can never work that way. Just not my style. There may be about 10 color ones to process this week but that will wrap everything up for me. So, how is everyone doing? Miss you all.
